RAM for Macbook Pro Mid-2012

Please guys answer this quick question. Which of these THREE (3) options would YOU make if you were upgrading to 16GB of RAM, as price is fairly equal:

I would get C. You won't notice any real world difference between 1333MHz and 1600MHz. The extra cost is not beneficial.

Your Macbook does not support upto 16GB, so all the three options are not compatible. The max you can upgrade is upto 8GB using two 4GB modules - Click here for official specifications!! You can go with 1600MHz as it is the default speed memory which your macbook comes with. Try numerous sites like memorystock.com, Kingston.com, newegg, bestbuy etc and go with the best available for you.

P.S - There are sites reporting that max is 16GB (like Crucial) but apple specs say other wise. Check with Apple support if it supports 16GB and if it does, then out of the three go with option 'B' (Corsair Vengeance).

--Actually it does support 16GB. This is because Intel designed the Ivy-Bridge motherboard that way. Not to sound like a jackass, just stating what everyone else knows already. Even the Sandy-Bridge motherboards supported 16GB. I think Apple didn't want people to open their cases -- thus voiding warranty -- prior to the introduction of the Retina display. So they gave consumers a choice of 4 or 8 GB -- all through their "showroom floor" -- mind you.

Now, with introduction of the $2k-plus Retina displays -- essentially the same motherboards are offered in 16GB configurations. You HAVE to buy it pre-configured that way from greedy Apple because the Ram is SOLDERED to the motherboard. So is the video card and processor. I'm new to Mac/Apple so I'm learning as I go along. Some of the statements made may not be 100% perfectly accurate. Sorry if anyone is offended. BTW -- it's just a forum.

You are Wrong...Apple Sites says it supports only 8GB but, it does support 16GB memory module.
Many people are using 16GB memory module in MacBook Pro Mid 2012. Because the chipset supports 16GB RAM.
