i noticed in the specs of the ram it said for dual channel Intel & amd processors.. do i have a dual channel processor & does that means i have to get dual channel for compatibility??

if you noticed any compatibility issues please comment thank you.

The Hero can run either 2 sticks of 4 sticks in dual channel, and yes your CPU and the MC (memory controller) it contains runs dual channel.....best bet will be 2x8GB for 16GB in dual channel - 2 sticks is less stress on the MC. Also would suggest either 1866 or 2133, the Haswell CPUs like and perform well w/ faster DRAM....

My favorites for your mobo (mine too ;) ) are the Gskill Tridents
