Hi all:), Have a few questions.... after I get the ssd installed with win 7 home premuim, how can I get the old 1 uninstalled off the hdd?

Also with the ssd do they also work for an online games mmo do they make the game loading faster or is it only how fast your wifi is?

And last thing when i download a game does it go auto go onto the ssd or do i have to click something to make sure it goes on?

TYVM!!!

Easiest way to remove the old windows is to use disk management (run diskmgmt.msc), locate the drive and delete all the existing partitions. Once you have a completely unallocated drive you can initialize the whole space as 1 drive or re-partition it however you wish.

please be aware that this removes everything off the drive.

SSD's will make any programs installed to them load much faster as well as load other things like map data faster. They will not increase your frames per second, nor your graphics quality, nor your cpu ability. Given all that, most people install thier frequently used games to their SSD and everything else to the HDD.

The game installer may or may not ask you "Where" to install too and you may need to use a custom install to re-direct it to the HDD.

1 If your current OS is installed on the SSD you can just format the partition on the hard drive where your old OS used to be(save what data you need 1st).

2 Games will only load faster if you have installed them on your SSD.

3 downloading them from where? o_O

There is no "uninstall" for an operating system. Once Windows 7 is installed and running on the SSD, in general, what you should do is format the old hard drive (after backing up any data files you want to keep).

Anything that is installed (not just downloaded to) on the SSD should start up faster, including games.

When you download something, it will save to the default download location. You should probably change this to somewhere on your old hard drive.
