Will an old video card from a Dell Dimension e500 series computer fit an Asus M5a99FX Pro R2.0? It's not gonna be my final graphics card, just temporary.

Should be.

However, there's little point in getting a 990FX board if you're not going to be crossfiring (which I assume you're not given you're using a 9 year old GPU). Go for a cheaper boardd and put the money towards a better GPU.
