ok so i just got my nvidia gtx 770 and got it installed and set up surround and realized you cannot use surround unless u have 3 monitors (it must of slipped my mind). so right now this is my setup (going from left to right) i have a hp 20" 1600x900, a hannspree 19" 1600x900, an asus 23.6" 1080 and a sony playstation display 24" 1080. i have my surround on the hannspree, asus, and sony displays and the hannspree needs to go. for around 150 bucks what would you guys suggest getting to replace this monitor. im huge into gaming and movie and such.

i'd say get an asus that's the same model as your current one (whatever that happens to be), or the closest current if yours is discontinued. or sell some of your screens to pick up a matching pair of new screens.

if the sony is really nice, then you might want to take measurements of the heights (from desk surface to lower edge of actual display and to upper edge of actual display, ignoring the bezels), so that whatever you buy lands in nearly the same location for a uniform side/center/side view.

this isn't a dinner plate where variety of colours and spices is welcome, this is you trying to play ONE game with a proper surround effect. i mean, would you wear sunglasses where one lens is blue and the other is green with yellow...

just today i picked up an AOC E2460S for around that price, for an office machine (cad, web, publishing). i'm quite impressed with the size, the matte (brushed) look of the thin bezel, and the clarity of it.

but really, i'd say get one that's identical to either the sony or asus, and go asus-sony-asus or sony-asus-sony to have SOME level of symmetry.
