"No boot disk has been detected or the disk has failed" message shown when booting after installing windows 8.1 on ssd. I disconnected every other disks, and the sata mode is on ahci, and still can't boot.
That ssd isnt that new, i got it last year, and i installed some games on it with no problem. Recently i decided to install windows 8.1 on it. But it won't boot after the windows installation completed.

How did you install it. Did you clone your old hard drive to the SSD? (or) A fresh install to the SSD already installed? What computer/components do you have?

I did a fresh installation, and do you need to know what motherboard im using? Is there any compatibility issue between motherboard and ssd drive?

No, any SSD will work with any MB. Is this a branded computer, Dell, HP, etc, or a Asus, I5, Gt660, etc. If I know what you have it is much easier for me to see the bigger picture.

Yo lo solucione reinstalando windows. Ja el truco es que la pc no levantaba ni los usb ni la lectora verdad?
Bueno fijate en el menu de la bios la parte de ARRANQUE SEGURO fijate que tiene una parte que dice habilitar compatibilidad... y elegi la opcion HABILITADA y listo.. ahi podes instalar lo que sea. Gracias
