I have an old Macbook that got stuck in a strange log in loop, making the OS inaccessible. I took the hard drive out and hooked it up to my desktop, which is a Windows 7 machine.

Is it possible to install OS X to this drive from within Windows? I've been looking around in Disk Management and I can't seem to find anything pertaining to this.

Phillip is right. To install OS X you will need a DVD (SL) or a USB installer (L, ML, Mavericks) to do it.
If you're successfully booting Windows on this Macbook, you can run OS X on a virtual machine and use it to download you copy from OS X from the App Store and use it to create the USB installer needed to install OS X on your machine.

Thanks, I think I'll do just this.
