I currently have a HD 6870 with a 700W power supply and I plan on getting a R9 280X which adds on another 250W according to PCPartPicker, will I need to update my PSU to run both of the cards at once or is it fine?

I dont want any information on card compatibility since mining doesn't require SLI/Crossfire it's fine.

That's enough power, which power supply is it though. If it is really low quality then I would recommend an upgrade.

That PSU is recommended to use 75% of labeled wattage at most and not in stressful situations. I recommend an upgrade to a 650W minimum corsair, antec, seasonic or xfx power supply.

So this PSU is basically 525W?

Anyway, thanks for your help if you could recommend any that would be nice :)

This is a good quality at an amazing price, plus it is modular.
