i am planning to upgrade my pc soon so i want to change my motherboard, processor, power supply etc
here are the things i want to change it to:

motherboard: asus M5A78L-M LX V2
processor: AMD Athlon X2 270
power supply:Antec Basiq Series VP450P 450W
case: cooler master n200
ram: Corsair DDR3 4 GB 1600 MHZ

is the power supply enough for all this
will the motherboard fit into the new case.

im not an intense gamer or anything but is this setup enough for adequate level of gaming.

I think its enough but atleast 500w would be nice more over try getting athlon II x2 280 its 3.6 ghz by spending 2-3 $ more you will get 3.6 ghz processor instead of 3.4 ghz and if you want to overclock the 280 it will reach 4 ghz much easily then the 270

Adequate gaming is an interesting goal. With the mobo's integrated graphics, Freecell and Solitare will run fine. You really need a video card to do much else. Why are you buying an obsolete cpu? It will work, but why?
The power supply is fine, even if you get a low to midrange video card.
The mobo will fit just fine in this case.
