Hi All,

I need help. I'm trying to build a workstation for 3D rendering work. I'm using Autocad 2013 at the moment, will probably update to 2014 soon.
I'm planning to get i7-4820k for the processor. Now, could anyone tell me what is the most compatible mobo/Graphic card/RAM for the processor I'm getting?(maybe a little bit OC)
I don't really need to get the most expensive components. And also, what Graphic Card should I get? Quadro or GeForce GTX?
Do you think $1500(max. $2000) is enough for me to get processor, mobo, RAM and Graphic Card?(I'm starting to think it won't be enough)
I'm welcoming any suggestion. Help pleasee...

Thank you.

Thanx for the detailed combo. they all sound good and most of all, fits into my budget.^_^ My question is, which do you think I should get, the ASUS DirectCU II GTX780TI you suggested or Quadro K2000? is the GTX780 better than Quadro k2000 for 3D rendering? I won't use it for gaming at all. Just for work only.

Thanx.

Great. I've read the article. I've decided to take on your suggestions.
All I need to do is to get the rest of the components. Can't wait to test it out.
Thanx a lot for your help. Really appreciate it!!

I've another option regarding the CPU I'm building.
Say, if I want to upgrade on the processor, and I'm willing to fork out a little bit more for the processor+mobo. Do you think PNY GTX 780 Ti XLR8 Enthusiast Edition VCGGTX780T3XPB will be compatible with:
- INTEL SIX CORE I7 3930K 3.2GHZ - 3.8GHz
- ASUS RAMPAGE IV GENE INTEL X79
- Kingston Hyper X 32 GB (4X8GB) 240 pin, PC3-12800 1600 MHz DDR3 SDRAM

Sorry for asking too many questions. The more I look, the more choices there are. And the more indecisive I become. Although, I would be much happier if anyone could suggest me something cheaper than this GTX780TI, which would be good for CAD 3D. lol
Hopefully your answer would help me to finalize it.

Thanx again.
