Laptop shuts down when pressing any key on the keyboard, but works fine with external keyboard

This issue appeared after the guys at the IT service tried to repair it after the issues with the dim display. They told me to buy a new motherboard. After they tried to install it, the hdd did not connect with it. And so when they finally were able to connect the motherboard with all other parts of the pc, the keyboard stopped working properly. Windows works fine with external keyboard, but when I'm pressing any key on laptop's keyboard, it immediately shuts down.
I don't know what else to do. Please help!

Then you need to either take it apart and check and possibly reseat the connections, if that does not help you need to buy a new keyboard and replace it to see if that's the issue. Sounds like they just messed up the repair. You would have been better off just buying a new laptop as I'm sure what you paid them would have been close to the price or a new laptop anyway.

For now, when you boot up, press f8 repeatedly and choose the option to start windows with the last known good config. If they haven't touch anything on the software side and just fixed that dimmed display, then that should more or likely revert it back to your previous settings. If not, continue using your external hard drive and tell me all the details.

I guess so, but they said they can't do anymore. Since it's a very rare model PC, they couldn't find the details to it as well.

Either way, if you want anybody to help you out, you need to give at the very least your computer build or oem build. it's really hard to diagnose something with a vague description that you gave.
