Lower DVI port not working on new Radeon 7970

So I am trying to start an eyefinity set up, but I'm having trouble getting the second DVI port to work. If I have just the lower one connected, I get a blank screen. When I have a working screen and have another screen connected to the lower DVI port, it seems to detect it in ATI Catalyst, but says it's disabled(and doesn't offer a way to enable).

Before I get told to do this, I have tried various wires and monitors. Same result.

I would recommend doing a full clean install of the drivers first. to do this, use the built in uninstaller from AMD and choose to scrap everything. then remove your GPU and boot your system without it (if your mobo has on board graphics). once you have done this, power your system back down and reinsert your GPU. reinstall the drivers for your card (freshly downloaded from the internet) and see what you get. if this does not work, repeat the process but change the PCI slot that your card is plugged into if you can. If this does not work, i suggest your return/RMA your card.
