Need to upgrade CPU

I have a GIGABYTE GA-880GMA-UD2H with 333 onboard Acceleration Motherboard, Rev 2.2. Currently I have an AMD Phenom II 6 Core (1095t). My GPU is a Nvidia GTX 770. I play games that need high frames per second FPS, like World of Warcraft, Arma 2 & 3, GTA V, so I need a highly compatible upgrade of a CPU, one that's hardcore for gamers. I also have 4 Kingston 2x2GB (8) modules, and a 750 watt PSU. If you need more info, I will provide it.

Back Pocket info- I am currently only getting 3FPS for Arma 3, but 20-30 for Wow. I changed numerous settings to try to tweak the games, but I believe my CPU is bottle necking. As long as Intel is compatible, I would be willing to switch over. I just want a compatible CPU with the Mobo I have as I don't want to spend more as I have been told I have an awesome system, just need a better Processor. Thank you for your help and comments.

There is nothing wrong with WOW.
WOW is coded so you wont have any visual lag, this happends when you get near cities and such.
But 3 FPS for arma 3, there most be something wrong, try reinstall it.

This is definitely a heat or driver or OS issue.

Do you have the latest drivers from nVidia?

What case are you using? Is it providing enough air? Check your CPU and GPU temperatures with CPUZ and GPUZ software.

What OS are you using? Do you have an anti-virus?

It's none of those.

Over-heating would 99% make the fans go crazy first.
nVidia auto-update their drivers.
OS problem would normally cause a crash or BSOD.

1 - You are wrong. Ball bearing and fluid bearing fans spin usually slower and slower as they degrade. Not always accompanied by noise.

2 - You are wrong. Depends on the OS and the Settings. I have turned of all automatic update, and only update when I want.

3 - You are wrong. A virus, or a bloat of malware/spyware will slow down the system. System crashes are rarity.

1 - if it was overheating, the fan would(if you havent changed the fan settings) turn up 100%, you would be able to hear that.
Fans speed does decay over time, but not at the point you wouldn't hear it at 100%.

2 - Again, incase he havent change normal settings.

3 - I didn't read it well enough first time fought you said he had OS problems.
BUT not all viruses would slow down the system, because. Those are normally miners.
Most viruses would run silence in the background using almost non resources, this could be anything from a keylogger to a RAT.
System crashes are rarity from viruses, that is correct.

Since we don't know his setting, that is why I asked all these questions. And yes, if a person is used to the noise from his computer, he would not notice if his ball bearing or fluid bearing fan is making noise from the high rpm or from the bearing itself. Not a lot of people care about it. Also if his computer is full of dust, and restricts the airflow or the fan movement, that can be a problem. Also we could not know if he had, if he really did - what type of a virus he might/might not have.

You really don't need to upgrade your CPU, it's absolutely fine for gaming. You're aware that if you switch to Intel, you'll need to replace your motherboard as well?

However, something is clearly wrong if you're getting that kind of performance. Arma 3 is notoriously bad during multiplayer and draw distance has a big effect on performance. Granted, if it's multiplayer-related and the servers are over capacity, you can't do anything about that.

Launch Arma 3 and alt+tab back into the OS to see if any processes are hogging the system resources. Also, download CPUID (HWMonitor) and launch it before launching Arma 3. Use alt+tab to go back to it and check the temperatures and fan speeds for the CPU and GPU. Let's diagnose the problem before jumping to conclusions.

So I have an Antec 900 Tower. It hosts 5 fans, 2 in front, 2 in rear, and one on top. Plus I have the ability to add two more. Heat I doubt is a problem. The CPU has a fan on it, the GPU has a fan on it. Plus it automatically downloads recent drivers. The PSU also has a fan on it. I open the case and there is very little to non heat.
Virus, well here's where my problem might be. I got a virus that would not let me close. The virus was one of those Obama international (you've been viewing porn so pay us) posing as Homeland Security. I had a friend come and remove it. Then I RECEIVED a redirect virus where any time I put a web address in the browser, it redirected me to google homepage. So he removed it yet again.
I may have to take it in to geek squad and have them check and remove. Thanks for the advice guys, I will get my PC checked and when I get it back, let you know the solution.

I am using Windows 7 64 bit,and I am using Avast Free Antivirus and Malewarebytes, plus Comodo Firewall. Yes air circulation is great. Antec 900 is a decent tower from what I have heard.
Nvidia automatically updates it's driver and I don't have any graphic issues so it's working.

Got it thank you.

So I notice my Cores are all at the Max Temperature, so any suggestions in how to fix that? Everything else remained the same, however the GPU wen up about 10 degrees, but it's well below the Max...

Those temps are way to high for your CPU, you should be staying under 63C.
THAT is why you are lagging. The CPU is downclocking so it does not get damaged.

Remove your cooler, clean of the thermal past and apply fresh paste.
Then put back your cooler MAKING SURE IT PROPERLY SECURE.
