i have core 2 duo e4500 2.2 ghz with 2 gb ram...i want to ask if core 2 duo with R7 240 or 6670 will be enough for far cry 3 ?

nope its a desktop...budget 80$. Monitor resolution 1024x768 samsung LCD 17''

Luckily you won't need a powerful GPU then. For 20$ more you could get a 7770 Ghz edition.

But the R7 240 is a pretty good entry level choice I think. You should consider upgrading your other

hardware too though. At least 4 or 8GB RAM and a better CPU.

The R240 is the worst thing he could get. No gaming performance whatsoever.

On the other hand, you're right. He should upgrade the CPU and RAM aswell, but then again , he might just as well buy/build a new PC.

I would recommend saving up, getting a mediocre build, so you wouldn't need to buy new part next year.
the r7 240 is pretty much useless, you could get a much better card that would deliver much better performance and have better price/performance ratio for $20+.

In short: It be best if you just put together an entirely new computer, seeing as even if you invest in a new

graphics card for instance, you might both not see the performance gains you should've gotten and/or can't play much

else due to other components being old too. But as it was said, IF you wanted to get a new GPU, a 7770 is a nice choice.
