Hello guys,
Alright so, my girlfriend bought a Samsung laptop and it came with Windows 8, she has asked me to install windwos 7 on it.
So, i did what i usually do, insert the DVD, restart the laptop, go into BIOS and change the boot order.
To my susrprise I got a message saying something along the lines of "ACCESS DENIED". I did some looking around in google and found out that i have to first disable some security thing in the BIOS before, so i did. There was also a submenu where i disable that security thing, with 3 options, i choose "CSM OS".
Anyways, so now i restarted the laptop and the Windows 7 installation ran, i deleted the partitions and formatted the HD and installed Windows 7. The laptop restarted after installation, i removed the DVD and changed the boot order to the HDD.
Here is the problem now. when the laptop restarts, i see the very first screen(some Samsung logo), and then the screen goes black for 1 second, then it comes back to the first screen with the Samsung logo and then back to the black screen, all in a infinite loop.
Ive already tried going through the Windows 7 installation procedure again to rule out any weird bugs but it did me no good.
Ive also put in the Windows 7 dvd to run a repair, and it said that it did detect a Windows 7 OS installed, but found no issues
Here are my suspicions:
1. in the boot order menu, there is something ive never seen before: Windows boot manager
2. in the submenu of that enable/disable security option in the BIOS, the 3 options(i choose CSM), did i choose the right one?
Thanks in advance guys
