LAN not working

My ethernet cable doesn't seem to work when I plug it in. The back of the port doesn't even light up. However, when I tried the 'B-link' wireless LAN the B-link lan signal was beeping to show it is working. I've tried using the wcable on another pc and it work fine. Also it is enabled in the bios but it doesn't show up in device manager or in network connections (only wifi shows up). Please help.

It appears you have either a hardware problem (device is defective) or there is an issue with your drivers. You might try reinstalling your drivers (make sure they are current - don't use the DVD) and see if that brings it to life.

its on the PC, not the laptop. It works fine on the laptop though. only the pc is problematic. My specs are on my signature idf that helps any. Also do you think I should just buy a usb to lan adapter to solve the issue.
