Hey, guys! I've seen some threads here at Tom's that get very few answers and I'm wondering why. Can you post some suggestions of how to get more responses in your threads, so people can access this forum and understand their mistakes?

I would suggest being as concise as you can, because people here are lazy and don't want to know how your cat ate your keyboard and this kind of stuff. Also try to avoid putting links. If you want to show some component, for instance, write down its name, don't put its page on Newegg or so.

Actually, links are preferred, but in the proper format:

For example: To create a link that looks like this:
Processor: Intel Core I5-4670

You would need to enter the following code into your post:
  1. Processor: [urlExt=http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116898]Intel Core I5-4670[/urlExt]

Note: The tag,. "URLEXT" can be shortened to just "URL"

Or just write the name of the part near the link, that's enough to make me happy.

And I definitely want to hear about cats eating keyboards. With video, please!!!

Here's a suggestion: if you don't live in the USA, say so, and give us a link to the online store you intend to use. If you don't, you'll end up with links to newegg.com or microcenter and they won't do you much good.

E.g. "I live in Canada and I like ncix.com" or "I live in the UK and I shop at www.ebuyer.com", etc.

I would also suggest quoting when you refer to some special comment, because then the writer of the response can see easier. Unless you're in the mobile version (like me), which doesn't allow you to quote
