A little advice on OC'd 3570k temps please..

I recently applied the Arctic Cooling 13 pro to my 3570k after the excessive temperatures I was getting with the stock cooler at 4.2ghz (50 degree idle!). I am now looking at 35 degree idle, 70 under full load and holds late 50's when gaming. I was quite happy with these results at first, but looking around the internet people seem to be achieving lower temps than this at higher clocks. Could the fact that I have left the voltage at auto have anything to do with this? (Although voltage seems to peak at around 1.18v) Thanks.

it depends a lot on case airflow and ambient temperature...

Yeah that's pretty damn good for the stock cooler at that speed. You could try undervolting, but it depends on the limits of your particular chip. Those other folks may have gotten lucky with a higher-binned chip. Don't worry, be happy.

I think the airflow is as good as I can get it and the cables inside are extremely tidy. Do you think the voltage is ok?

They are fine. Intel CPU's are usually good up to 80c+

I appreciate what you're saying, as I said I was happy with the results at first, just wondered if I was doing anything wrong compared to others who had lower temps.
