I have computer with parts from other manufacters. I need to reinstall that pc due viruses. After reinstalling new Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit SP1 OS, I couldn't connect to internet. My computer does not have wireless adapter so I used cable. In Device Manager I can see Ethernet Controller under Other devices. The Device status is The drivers for this device are not installed.(Code 28), There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.After clicking Update driver there are two options Search automaticly - doesn't work and Browse my computer. Where can I find my type of network adapter? Thanks

Go to your motherboard manufacturer's web site and download the LAN drivers for your particular motherboard and Windows 7 64-bit. Transfer them via USB flash drive to the system that needs them and install.

@Mawej - In "Device Manager", "Properties" for that network controller, "Details" tab, select "Hardware IDs" from the drop-down, you need two numbers, like "VEN_1234" and "DEV_5678". Search the web with these numbers, or post them here.
