External test not working

Hello. I did an external test last night while hooking in the GPU, RAM, CPU, CPU cooler, and the PSU and I didn't get a beep from the speaker, however it had picture and I could go through the setup utility. It seemed like it noticed the CPU and both the RAM. Is the beep that important?

You're kidding me... If you're right, I love you right now. One last question, do you know of anywhere online I can get help with the wiring? I have no idea what goes where (for about half of it) and the manual for my board isn't too great.

The motherboard is the z87 fatl1ty killer. I just don't know what I need to plug in where. Like the hard drive and SSD. the digital drive.. the fan that came with the case. They all have different connectors.

I think I know what you mean when it comes to the HDD, SSD, and the DVD drive. I guess that's all my questions. Hopefully. I'll be back shortly if it isn't. Thank you very much for the help!!
