I'm currently looking into doing a few little upgrades on my system. I'm mostly decided except a couple tidbits regarding the processor. I don't have a lot of wiggle room, and I'm also assuming that I will have a hard time selling my used processor and am even considering keeping it as a spare. It's a Core i5-2400, mated to a MSI Z77A-G45 motherboard.

I've been looking at a few options, either upgrading just the processor, or getting a new Socket 1150 board with a Core i5-4670k if I can find more room in the budget for it.

But my question is this: Will I see a major improvement in gaming upgrading to, say, a Core i5-3670k and sticking with my motherboard for a little while longer? I'm tight on budget and would like to keep the upgrade down under $300 after shipping and whatnot. I live in Atlantic Canada so shipping gets a little expensive, and there isn't a whole lot of local options.

I also currently have managed to somehow overclock that 2400 to almost 3.9GHz (Not truly always at that speed mind you, but when under load it will hit 3.85 or something like that according to cpu-z). Is it worth the $250 plus shipping? Will it be a noticeable jump? I mostly play WoW but delve into other games too, but I don't have too many problems with the Radeon HD 7870 I have at 1080p, just looking for a increase in WoW since it's processor heavy.

Thanks!
