My processor died on my PC. I bought a remanufactured PC & want to add my hard drive out of my old PC because I have programs & pictures that I want to keep. They both have Windows 7 on them. Can this be done? If so, how?

Solution
Just connect the drive. Then navigate to the Users folder and find the name of your old username. In that folder you will find all of the stuff that would have been saved in your previous folders.

No, you won't be able to access the programs on the old PC's HDD, but you should be able to get your files/pictures/etc. You would have to reinstall those applications so that your new HDD and Windows install would be aware of the applications.
