I am getting blank screen after entering password on my laptop. But I am getting company logo and windows logo. My operating software is windows 8. how to open my laptop in safe mode??? After completion of boot scan with avast I got this problem. What can I do now??

when booting before you see any logos, and the screen is still black, rapidly hit f8 as fast as u can lol.
if f8 doesnt work, try it again. turn off the computer and turn it on and immediately try hitting f8 rapidly over and over again until you see the screen pop up and lets you choose a safe mode option.
