Hello everyone,
I am a long-time reader but a first-time poster. I have tried searching around online, mostly this site, but can not seem to find an answer to my problem.
My PC is connected to my Pioneer AV receiver via the HIS DVI-to-HDMI adapter out of my ATI 4870, which does support sound. This has been working fine, and even was last night. Today, however, I can not hear any audio. Windows still shows that this device is connected. Thinking that my adapter had gone bad, I disabled the HDMI audio, and have tried running an optical signal off of the motherboard, which worked previously, before I owned the DVI-to-HDMI adapter.
I can not seem to get any sound at all now. I've tried updating the drivers for both sound devices, but both say they are up to date. If anyone has any insight on how to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
