Hello
I have a dell inspiron 1545 laptop. I heard that is can run mavericks as a hackintosh. Is there a way to do this without a existing mac osx machine? i have tried the installer by Niresh12495 but it just displays the 'you need to restart your computer' dialog box. Anyone know how to do this?

Well you need to make a USB installer and you need to have access to a Mac or Hackintosh to do it plus you need to have already paid for OS X. Using hacked or cracked installers are illegal and I do not know of any other way of doing it. I paid for OS X 10.6 and use a boot CD to install from the original DVD and updated the OS from there. You can find more info at http://www.tonymacx86.com/home.php . But as I said hacked or cracked installers are not supported.

I dont have access to a mac but i am planning to purchase a legit mac osx but i cannot get a virtual machine running successfully (it will have a kernel panic when i try to format a usb drive for the osx install) so i cannot get a usb install drive made

It's a moot point about having to purchase OS X, as it's only licensed to run on Apple hardware anyway.
