Hey i need help picking a motherboard. i have a budget of around 300 USD.
I was thinking the Asus Maximus VI formula.
any other suggestions and is the motherboard worth the 300 dollars price tag?
Also i plan on overclocking to 4.5 or 4.6.
If the motherboard is not worth it can you make any suggestions please.

I agree with your choice. In my opinion it's the best board for your budget and generally gets good reviews. I had an older Asus ROG mobo for a long time and it was solid as a rock for years.

As a cheaper alternative option (half the price) the MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming motherboard comes out very well in reviews, but if you have the $300 budget I would stick with your choice.
