Hey guys,my amd 955's multiple frequency ranges from 4 to 16 when i played cs1.6,as soon as i see a smoke or more,my fps drops to 50 60 and then 101,i think theres no chance for a card like gtx460 would cause this problem,is there a way to lock my multi freq at 16? plz tell me and sorry for english

i think there's another option in the catalyst control center to disable the c&q. try also to set the power options in control panel to high performance or edit the option for minimum cpu state to 100% in advanced

right missread, sorry, go in control panel and power options and advanced and change the minimum cpu power state from 5% i think is the default to 100% it might force it to always 3.2ghz. be careful with overheating after you set this and if you often leave the pc idle set this only when gaming.
