First computer build help!

ok... this is my first time building a gaming computer. I would like to stay around the 500 $ range for now. If somebody could tell me if what parts im getting is correct and or give me suggestions on what i could do better that would be great. Also I have purchased any parts yet.

  1. Looks good except no memory selected
  2. Skip the aftermarket CPU cooler (you won't need it out of the gate) and spend the extra to get a quad core CPU....

And, if you can Corsair CX500 or CX600 power supply the one you've chosen is a very poor brand.....
  3. yeah I do have the ram already. Also what power supply do you recommend?

I strongly recommend a Corsair CX 600, i'm using one now and it is perfect
  5. Do you think this computer will be able to play games like cod and future shooters?

Sure, (but you really have to upgrade to a quad core CPU...)

Your FPS will be much higher than shown, since you'll dial back from "Ultra" settings to around Medium for most games...
