I want to buy a Sapphire R9 270X Vapor-X 2GB GDDR5 but my PSU has only one 6pin PCIe

Hi,

I want yo buy Sapphire R9 270X Vapor-X 2GB GDDR5 but my PSU has only one PCIE 6pin connector is an Antec VP500PC.
Can I use one PCIe 6pin connector and one molex connector ?

This is my actual configuration without GPU :
AMD FX6300 X6 @3.5GHz
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 rev5.0
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 2x4GB
Seagate Barracuda 2x1TB SATA3 RAID 1
PSU:Antec VP500PC

the card comes with a dual molex to 6 pin adapter.

if that specific one does not for some reason, the adapters are only like $5

If you only have sata power, you can use a dual sata to molex adapter on, then make a frankenstein config to go all the way up to pci, but it is not recommended at all.

I have 4 molex connectors and 6 sata.
What I was trying to say is that PSU good enough for that configuration or I have to buy other ?

which is why i said you would need the adapter. you have enough wattage, but not the right connector. It's a fairly low quality power supply so my personal recommendation is to buy a new 80+ bronze power supply. Seasonic and corsair are alright brands

Antec isn't that bad they make good quality PSUs.

They are considered a lower quality brand. they do make good ones, but you have to buy a good one. their low end ones are typically very low quality

Personal opinion backed up by various other people having problems with their antecs. they may very well be a good quality psu maker, but i have just heard more bad than good myself
