Would it be worth it to upgrade my old PC?

Hi, Im wondering weather or not it would be worth the money to upgrade my current PC. My current computer can handle Borderlands 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 pretty well and I was considering upgrading so I could play games like Bioshock Infinite and BF3

Here are my current PCs specs:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 2.2 GHz
GPU: HD Radeon 6670 1GB DDR3
RAM: 4GB DDR2
PSU: 450W

Here is what I am considering upgrading to

CPU: Intel i3-4130 3.4Ghz
GPU: HD Radeon 7770 1GB DDR5
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz
PSU: Same

Also would it be worth it to upgrade from a 6670 to a 7770 card? Or should i just keep my old card?

Thank You!

And Yes, I also plan on upgrading my motherboard to fit the ram/cpu requirements

I'm looking to spend around 300-400$

Get a robust processor now and later on get a strong video card . HD 6670 is not so bad !

Well, to upgrade your RAM, you'll have to get a new board. I would say that the upgrade would increase your performance immensely, but i think i would go to an i5, like the 4430, and keep your current card. then when you have a couple hundred bucks to spend next time, all youll have to do is get a new video card. This combo is only 235 for board and cpu, all you'd have to do is add ram; http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1542791

H87 would be slightly better, but not much. h87 has more USB 3.0 lanes, h87 has more sata channels(6 sata 3 on h87, 2 sata 2, and 2 sata 3 on h81) h87 also has more pci express lanes, but, for what the OP has said he uses his sytem for , I don't think any of those extras are required. especially being over 50 dollars more, which would cover most of the price for ram :)

Not sure where you get this from, but it's plain wrong. Without any overclocking, and decent cooling, which is required for any build, micro atx boards perform as well as their larger counterparts. There might be a few cases where a particular board has heat issues, but a broad statement like that is very misleading.

In multi thread applications(most games are made to utilize 2 or 4 cores) the 4430 is 40% faster than the 4130. The price difference is about 60 bucks, and to me that would be more than worth it for the extra performance.

You might also consider an amd 6300, with its overclocking and extra cores, in your price range, it might be a better CPU. I don't have much recent experience with the amd cpus, but the 6300 seems like a pretty good choice for a build in your price range. It would perform better than the 4130( with the extra cores being utilized, and some overclocking) at about the same price point for board and cpu together.
