Hey there,

Acer Aspire 1 Nav50 will not connect to internet through wi-fi or ethernet cable. This occurred after a full reboot of computer to factory settings.

When trying to connect, windows says it cannot detect network adapter and that it may be because I need to update drivers. However when I went to my device manager to look for my network card, its not showing up at all, not even a empty folder.

I decided to open computer and detach/reattach network card. No luck. My guess it either:

A) I have a dead network card because b4 reboot i was already having internet wifi connectivity issues.

B) I just need to download driver and for some reason the resetting to factory didn't install my network card drivers. But how am i suppose to download drivers if i can't connect to internet. This acer is a small, notebook acer that has no disk drive so therefore did not come with installation disk; therefore I cannot get drive off that either.

What do you guys think?

Running windows 7 starter, product name: AO532h

You can download the driver on a USB stick/flash drive using another computer that has internet access and use the USB port on your ACER to install the driver.

Also try the Fn+F2 key to enable disable your wireless adapter.

If it is your wifi hardware you can simply buy something like this.
