Hello all,

My laptop is Acer Aspire 6530G and I have upgraded my video card ATI 3650 / 512 MB with ATI 4650 / 1 GB, and my screen is black. When I turn on my laptop, it starts, I can hear the fan, but I cant see nothing on the screen. Anyone has this problem? Can anyone help me please? Thank you in advance :)

Have you tried connecting the laptop to an external monitor (PC monitor, TV, etc)? If not, do so. If you get a display, then your GPU is ok. If not, try reconnecting your old GPU.

If you do get a display with either the 36 or the 46, while connected to an external monitor; but not the laptop monitor, try the following:

1. Connect to external monitor, and then install the newest driver

2. Shine a flashlight at the laptop screen, at angle, to check if you can see a faint display

3. For shits and giggles, keep tapping the F8 key upon startup. If you see the Advanced Boot Options screen, you could try "last known good configuration" or "safe mode".

Thanks for answers, but my display is black and I dont think it's a driver problem, because my laptop probably not detect my videocard. I'll try to connect a monitor to my laptop external VGA.

Anyway, I dig on the internet and found a solution to flash my bios with a modded version of bios, but I dont know how to do this and if I find a modded version of bios for my model of laptop.
