Hi guys,

I've completed my build, and I've loaded windows 8.1 to the ssd so that I can get better speeds then my hdd. So I'm having problems with it booting through the intel sata ports, and the computer does recognise that it's there and I set it up through AHCI and in the boot options it's there as the 1st boot preference, how ever when I start the computer it comes up with the, "please select proper boot device, or insert device into select device and press any key". And I can't find the reason for this. Now I changed the sata port so that I could boot through Marvell M_0 so I could boot my computer, when in the bios I set up the controllers, and it's recognised as the first preference boot drive, now when I click save and exit it restarts and boots up all be it slowly (Marvell takes for ever) however it won't boot the next time (ie; it goes to the select proper device page) with out me having to press F11 and manually choose it to boot through, and then it'll boot fine. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

was your hard drive and SSD both installed when you installed windows? I know sometimes when there is more than one drive it will put the boot info on another drive. Its stupid like that at times. I always make sure there is only one drive in when i install windows.

Yeah ok ill give that a try, can anyone tell me how to set up all the stuff in the storage (advantaged settings) settings? Like all the different things I need turned on or off? I'd prefer to just boot through intel sata not Marvell
