FM1 socket / k12 bridge chipset, is this the best cpu I can get?

I still doubt the gain is worth forking out so much money. It is still an entry-level CPU, and the gain is not that much. Might be better to stick with what you have and save up for a real upgrade (complete with new mainboard and a decent CPU).

I just bought this PC I was hesitating between buying one or building one, still thinking about going that route but want something better for now, this cpu is only $100 and I could probably get it cheaper on ebay,

the benchmarks between this cpu and the one I have interested me.

your current chip is quad cord already, I don't think it's worth spending that money unless your current chip hit the shitter. I have a HTPC I built in 2012 with a A6 chip on FM1 mobo, I think my next upgrade will be a complete rebuild. What are you using this PC for? Might give us a better idea if it's worth the upgrade. Did you just buy this computer, or just build it as well?
