Hello i got the ASUS r9 280x directCU ii TOP 3 days ago, and ofcourse it was defective.
This model has this artifact issue...
So i sent it back and hopefully they will let me choose another.. or maybe they will give me the same and i'll have 50% of being defective again.
So if they let me choose another i have 5 options
I dont know the differences and what matters in a gpu so , if you have heard anything about these 5 or if you know whats best please help me :)
Here's the link http://

Starting from the Gigabyte R9 280x Battlefield edition at 298,99 euros
then Nvidia GTX 760 4gb
then my model
then Asus GTX 770 2gb
and finally gigabyte gtx 770 OC 2gb at 349,00 euros.

I cant give any more so.. Which one would you choose? I know the R9 are newer and probably newer is better right? They also have 3gb of memory , im not sure what that does but i guess its better

Solution
I would go for that Gigabyte 770 graphic card.

It draws less power from your PSU and is cooler on demading workloads.

Unfortunatly defective cards can happen no matter what the brand. I like Asus and Gigabyte, both are good brands, but I prefer the coolers on Asus cards.

Both the gtx 770 and 280x have similar performance in most games, so whichever you prefer.

the 256bit and 2gb of memory instead of 385bit and 3gb dont matter?
Also it says
Power requirement 600W (with one 6-pin and one 8-pin external power connectors)

I have a corsair CX 600 with an amd fx 8350. will it work ?

if you check the 1 star reviews here http://

you will see everyone has the same problem with this model. Artifacts. this is a very buggy model. Ive read it everywhere on the internet.
So if im about to get the same i have great chances of it being lame again . If it isnt defective it is a great gpu but...

You can check in most reviews and benchmarks that performance it's almost the same on both graphic cards (4-5 fps), so it won't really impact your gaming experience, also price tag -must- be slightly lower.

Of course that 770 OC version will outperform R9 280x but it is also more expensive,
that choice is yours.

First, check GPU dimensions at any online store and then check if it fits your case.
Second, a Corsair CX 600 will handle that GPU, of course.
Third, on paper, that is true... however when you run both GPUs, performance is the same on both cases, and for 1080p, single monitor gaming it will be the same almost everytime.
