Better architecture and per core performance. Even though the AMD 8320 is a oct core, it's really only a quad core. 8 core 4 modules and its per core performance is significantly lower than Intels.
 
For video editing the FX. For gaming the i5. For both, for a reasonable cost, the Xeon 1230v3 (essentially an i7 4770).

The FX isn't a slouch in gaming, and the i5 isn't a slouch at editing. Basically prioritise which you need more, video editing or gaming, and choose based on that.
