iv recently taken apart my old laptop and I'm trying to connect my hdd2h26 to my asrock h61m-vg3 mono but it won't detect it and when i boot the PC it still can't find the correct storage media
I haven't wiped the HDD so it still has all the system info on it from the ps3 will that affect it or is it just not compatible?

That's probably the problem - When you look inside your Disk Management utility, does the HDD Show up? it's likely it needs to be formatted and partitioned for Windows, since otherwise Windows has no idea what to do with it.

yeah that was the problem I had to plug it into another PC and format it like that iv accured another problem tho when I install my windows 7 ultimate it gets an error and then when it reboots it says bootmgr is missing if think there's something wrong with the disk because I can copy all the files onto another disk but install.wim won't move
