what should or can i do if system bios update was interrupted by power loss? (now unit will not boot..suspect corrupted bios)

Solution
You can try removing the bios battery with the power cord disconnected for 1 mn. Then put the bios battery back in place and let it boot up and see if it has a backup bios you can get too.

Depending on how confident you are at taking electronics apart and putting them back together (working preferably) you can still remove the bios battery.

It will require unscrewing the case, removing the battery and the power and then taking the bios battery out.

Depending on your laptop design, this can either be very easy, or a test of hades. Try googling how to change your laptop bios battery, you may find some instructions.
