I am trying to build a new gaming PC and am running into problems, can you help?? My build -

Motherboard - GA-Z87X-UD4
CPU - i7 4770k
GPU - MSI Radeon 7850 HD 2GB
RAM - 16gb Corsair Venegence
SSD - 64gb for OS
Spin Disc - Data

My issue:
I was able to install Windows 7 no problem at all on the SSD. I hooked up the data drive that already had win 7 on it, hoping to format it as a data drive. Well for some reason the data drive is booting as C:\ and then it makes the SSD drive F:\. First off why is it booting with my old data drive if the SSD is plugged into the first sata connector? Well you would think its an easy fix of hitting F8 to go into the bios and change the boot sequence. This is where I'm having my second problem, every time I hit any function key to enter bios it goes to a black screen and I can't do anything. Mind you I am plugged into the PCI video card and am no using the onboard graphics but that shouldn't be an issue, right? Even with the drivers installed for the onboard graphics I get no picture when I connect my monitor to the HDMI slot on the board. Lastly my Gigabyte boot up screen never shows me the entire "screen", most of the screen is cut off, like my resolution is incorrect, why is it doing this? Should I unplug my PCI 7850 graphics card and only run the onboard graphics? Should I return the motherboard for a new one???

To recap:
1) SSD isn't booting as C:\ when I connect my old spin disk drive even though the SSD is plugged into the first SATA slot.

2) Upon hitting any function key to enter BIOS I get a black screen

3) Why is the POST screens (the one that shows the gigabyte picture and says what function keys to hit) resolution cut off.

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!
