I'm looking at couple options for an upgrade from my old 5750.
Both can be bought from Newegg for 199. The XFX comes with BF4 for free but isn't as powerful as the HIS. Which one should I get? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

How badly do you wnat BF4?

270 is you plan to OC.
270x is not.

Well it would be really nice to get a free BF4 but is it worth it to get the better card? Would it really have that much of a difference?
Btw my motherboard and cpu are pretty outdated (athlon ii x4 640) so I'm thinking I'll probably be bottlenecking it anyway.

That HIS card is not a 270x, it's a 270.

I'd get a 270x for $230, e.g.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

It includes Battlefield 4 and it's faster than the two R9 270 cards you were looking at.

At that resolution the 270 is plenty.

I just didn't know if one brand would be better than the other, here's another option, cheapest so farhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00GWSYVUY/ref=redir_mdp_...

Yeah, that's a good card. But, if you're going to get this card for $180 and then pay $50 for BF4, you might as well stick with the 270x - same money, better card, same game.

Use pcpartpicker.com to make sure you get the best deal. I did look up the GV-R927OC-2GD and you did find the best deal for it at Amazon for $180.

In general, for Radeon cards, I trust Asus, Gigabyte, XFX, Sapphire and MSI more than other brands.

I wouldn't really have much of a fund to upgrade monitors, I'm actually playing on a 23" lcd TV. if anything I would be saving for a cpu, motherboard, and Windows 7

Yes I'm using part picker, I'll probably take your advice and go with the 270x with the free BF4. That way I get the better card and the game for cheaper if I bought them separate. My old card is an XFX and it's been good to me over the years.
