Laptop shutting down in some games

I have a Dell Inspiron 14r 5437 and it shuts down after a few minutes in some games. I play Battlefield 4 and Skyrim smoothly and never had a problem, but when I play older games like Garry's Mod, Team fortress 2 and even terraria, my laptop shuts down after some minutes of gameplay and I have no idea why, I don't think it's an overheating problem since nothing happens with games like BF4 and I bought it recently, so it shouldn't have many dust. I also use a little cooling pad. Here are my specs:

Processor: Intel core i7-4500u 1.8GHz
RAM: 8GB
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 750m 2GB
OS: Windows 8.1 64bit

I have all drivers up to date, and sorry if my english isn't very good

No, it just shuts down from nowhere without any warning

So I reinstalled Steam and the GPU drivers, now i got a Blue screen and the pc restarts, didn't shut down this time, I guess it's better, isn't it?
