avi file too big for insertion into powerpoint slide

I need to insert (into a powerpoint 2010 slide) an avi video of one photo morphing into another. I used FotoMorph. I have another video someone else did years ago with 2 different photos, and this one is only 845KB (an avi file, bitrate 223). BTW, I'm using Windows7. The newly created avi file size is 486MB! (bitrate 132,710). Way too huge. How can I reduce it to match the older one? Many thanks for any help. I'm not at all an expert on this.

I used to play with a similar application, or possibly an earlier version of this.
I installed it, and tried a sample animation. 2 basic pics, 1 is 1920x1200, the other is 3600x2503
Resulting .avi file size is 17.1MB. Still stupid large for what it is.

Settings to look at:
Animation length
Framerate
overall initial image sizes
