My old PSU was cheap and blew out. So I am looking for a newer nicer one. I am wondering if this PSU would be adequate.

Its a Corsair Builder Series CX 600 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS (CX600).

Solution
Yeah it will work fine, not the best 600W power supply you can get but if thats what fits your budget then go for it. If you are looking for alternatives you could look at EVGA's range of PSU's. They are pretty affordable and are decent quality.

Yes, you don't have anything unusual, so the graphics card is the decider.
R9 270X calls for a minimum, 500watt

I will be running mine on a 500watt.

The 500watt requirement takes into consideration that people buy crappy power supplies.
a 450watt corsair would have no problem.
