I have just finished building my first gaming computer, and I've tried to install windows from an "Upgrade disc". This worked...for about five minutes. In the middle of the "Expanding files" (or whatever its called) screen, it said there was an error and had to restart the Install Process. After that, I got a "full install disc" (not an "upgrade disc") and booted to that. After that, it said "Windows failed to load because of a kernal problem" (I don't know what it exactly said, but it was something along those lines.) I tried restarting the computer many times, and that's what it said every time. It would never go to the "Install Windows" screen. After that, I turned to this forum for help.
