Black screen after 8.1 update

Hi

I all download the 8.1 update through the app store on windows 8 and installed it. After install completed and windows restarted it loads a black screen i can see the mouse but nothing else . i do have a advance system care with load on start up and im able to use the program but nothing else ?

Any help would be great thanks

Have you had any change with this? I've recently went through the same thing, and it seems to have to do with a botched removal of "Windows Activation Technologies." However, others have had issues with integrated graphics clashing with dedicated graphics. While others have had display driver issues.
