Hi.

I am having a problem with a CRT monitor overclocked at 110hz, The problem is that in cs:go It will
just display 60fps while in cs 1.6, battlefield 4, battlefield 3 etc. it runs up to 110 fps. I've tried disabling Vsync from the game and nvidia control panel, tried fps_max, -freq 110 and
-refresh 110(wich makes my screen go black and only show the cursor) Even though
MSI Afterburner OSD tells me that my gpu is producing over 190+ FPS my screen tells me that is running at 60hz, Please can someone tell me what is wrong? any suggestions? 60fps is too slow for me and It also makes my screen flicker wich produces me headaches. Thanks in advance.

If you are using a single video card, you could try playing in Windowed mode, or border-less Windowed mode. Some games do not support some refresh rates, but in Windowed mode, they just use what the desktop is using. Border-less Windowed mode is no different. The downside is that Crossfire/SLI does not work in border-less Windowed mode.
Your frames per second is limited by the refresh rate of your monitor.

The refresh rate is linked to the resolution.
At 110 hz only a set amount of resolutions will work at that rate.

Click on windows desktop, click on screen resolution, click on advanced settings.
then list all modes.

It will tell you at what resolutions you can select and the Hz range of each resolution. And the color bit depth.

Just because a card can pump out 190 fps, does not relate to the frequency a monitor can display 60hz is 60 updates a second on the screen, or 60 refreshes a second. for a moving image. 60fps.

Windows, screen and resolution settings can often cause a conflict. and why I told you to have a look at that.

Well, I use 1024x768 @110hz as my windows res and ingame res, I don't think that the problem is the screen because BF4, Wich is a MUCH more demanding game can work with the res and refresh rate that im using in cs:go`

*edit*
I realized that my ingame res was a little bit higher(1280x1024), I changed it but my monitor is now set at 85hz instead of 110.
