When I originally installed the r9 270x on my new build I was getting good results and could play battlefield 4 on ultra settings getting about 50-70fps. Recently when I play I am getting from 15-30fps consistently. I tried reducing the settings and it was getting 40-50fps on medium settings with aliasing off. I cannot figure out what the problem is. I've checked the temperature and it was about 31deg c and 36deg c for cpu/gpu. My full build is listed below.

CPU: AMD A8-5600K 3.6GHz Quad-Core

Motherboard: MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 Micro ATX FM2

Memory: A-Data XPG Gaming Series 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3-1600

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM

GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 2GB

PSU: Corsair 600W ATX12V

I have three 24" 1080p monitors and I have been trying to use eyefinity for my setup.

Other things I have tried are uninstalling/reinstalling the R9 270X drivers. One thing I will note is that when I did this I somehow lost four drivers that were originally installed (because I checked that all devices had their drivers.) I was later able to fix this by installing the CD that came with my motherboard. I have double checked the connections from the PSU and everything seems to be ok. I tried downloading Razer Game Booster to see if background processes were causing it and that didn't help.

This has been very frustrating. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well, Not a total expert here, but a r9 270x shouldn't be playing ultra setting at 50-70 fps. I have a gtx 780 and those are the frames I see with dips as low as 30. I'd expect a r9 290x would be the card for bf4 ultra settings, maybe-maybe a 280x, but not a 270x. Why you got those in the first place, I have no idea, but that card just isn't good enough for ultra.

you could use mantle and you should see a 15-25% increase with the 270x however you will need to install the latest beta drivers from AMD's website but from my personal experience I normally get anywhere from 20-60 on ultra with my R9 270x on ultra(without mantle) but that's on certain single player missions and for multiplayer I play on high setting and get great frames up to 75 btw razer game booster doesn't really shut down all background process that are running as most cant be (fyi I have around 32 running even with game booster) have you tried getting msi after burner and monitoring your gpu that might help you figure out your problem.
Your cpu could be bottlenecking the card however I have really no knowledge of cpu's when it comes to bottlenecking so I wouldn't take my word just say as a opinion

Might be using the apu's graphics instead of the graphics card. Try changing the gpu settings.

Many players deactivate "Origin in Game": Origin library > right mouse on BF4 image > Settings...
of they disable "core parking" with a tool (http://www.coderbag.com/Uploads/Unpark-CPU-App.zip) or do it manually as I did.

As You got a 270x do not use ultra preset. It looks better because only ultra has "anti alias deferred" activated what eliminates pixel jumping. You can use custom, all high or medium and aa deferred 2x/4xMSAA. And You will notice no difference. Promised.

See this videos if You want proof. They show the differences of the most settings from low to ultra.

Very helpful! Don't be an ultra dork!

Wait. So you are trying to run 3840x1080 gaming on a 270X?
That card simply doesn't have the power to run any modern game at that resolution
