Okay, so I've scoured the forums and nobody seems to be having the same exact problem as me. I'll start with my specs:
FX-6100 Not OC
MSI 990FXA board
4gb x2 Vengeance Ram @1600mhz
1tb 7200 rpm HDD
650 watt PSU (not name brand, i think this might be the issue)
PowerColor 7850 x2 with 1 bridge
Win 7 Home Premium 64bit
Wire tuck and plenty of fans. (no heat issues at all)

Now, both cards work by themselves, and both cards work together UNTIL I enable crossfire. At first it just blanked the screen and froze my computer. I'd restart and it would say "crossfire enabled" but when i go to Overdrive it shows both cards fine, but only the info (usage, clock, temp, etc.) for my primary. Is that normal? I had one monitor plugged into the second card and it worked fine. Here comes the better part though, I fiddled around a bit and when I enabled crossfire this last time, it turned my primary display to a wonky resolution and the second card + my second monitor stopped functioning. Restarted and the card still refuses to emit a display signal. It still shows up in Catalyst and Crossfire is still enabled, but there's still no info for it. I'm at a complete loss. Also I should mention that I'm running Catalyst 13.12. Help!

Assuming the one of the cards isn't bad or the MB itself isn't the issue, try running the catalyst install manager and uninstall everything AMD. Boot to safe mode and run Driver sweeper: http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4266-driver-sweeper.h...
Have it remove any remnants of AMD, ATI, and Nvidia graphics drivers it can find. Reboot.

With only one monitor attached and both cards installed, download the latest driver for your cards and OS. Do a fresh install.
Btw, when you are running CF, you may want to use the new beta driver instead. It helps with micro-stutter when using CF.

Okay, I'll add that the motherboard is brand new and I've done a clean sweep and new install to accommodate it. I'll run driver sweeper and install the beta and see if it helps. I'll update when done.

UPDATE TIME! Still does the exact same thing. Uninstalled everything, ran driver sweeper in safe mode, re-installed Catalyst...still the same shenanigans. It actually said that "there are no amd drivers installed or my card isn't functioning correctly" when I booted up after the install. It has said that before and I know both cards are fine. I restarted and it was normal again but now, the first time I've started Catalyst on the new install, it is already showing Crossfire as enabled. Still no stats on the second card though.

Since the MB is new, it may have a bad 2nd slot. Apparently both cards are OK if they both work in the 1st slot. What happens if you run with just one card... in the second X16 slot?

I'm going to try a different bridge real quick, and then if that doesn't affect anything I'll try the single card/second slot idea. It can't be entirely bad though because it does recognize the card, just doesn't use it.

really really late post for this, but did you ever find a fix for this? Experiencing the exact same issue, where CCC detects the card but there is no stats on it, fans spin on boot but then just stop when computer is running. it's just not being used at all in crossfire setup. have tried everything stated previously.

did you eventually resolve this issue?
