I just finished building my PC, and finally booted it up.
By build is at the following link:
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2FGSv

I'm very new to all of this, and this is my first PC I've built. Anyway, I first turned it on. I got an MSI screen that was the BIOS screen. Up in the top left corner there were monitors on how hot things were running. My AMD FX-6300 was running at 100 degrees Celsius! That is ridiculous. As soon as I noticed this, it had gotten to 104 degrees, after only running for about 1 minute. The PC then shut itself off.

I have absolutely no idea what to do. Please help. D:

Does the CPU cooler come with thermal paste already applied onto the bottom?

I've looked this up, and the AMD fx-6300 is supposed to have thermal paste applied to it, though I honestly forgot to check when I put it on. I think I'll go buy some thermal paste, because I lifted it up and it didn't look like anything was really on there. I believe there was some thermal paste, but barely any.

EDIT: Your answer was completely correct. Thank you very much! :D

Yeah with stock cooler and no overclock it shouldn't be that high, take it off, clean it, reapply compound, make sure you put the cooler back on properly and test your temps
