Hi folks! I built myself a new puter for the first time in several years recently, around july, and benchmarks are rating it usually around the level of a gaming laptop ... so what im wondering is if anyone had any advice on what would be causing my bottleneck? the present setup is--
P9X79 Mobo
i7 3930k (OC@4.2GhZ)
16 GB G.Skill ram (at roughly 2200mhz)
Nvidia GTX 650Ti (2GB DDR5)
OS is on Kingston SSD (128GB) and a couple select applications
1TB WD HDD for programs and games
1TB WD HDD for misc storage (music, projects and such)
both HD are SATA ( i think that goes without saying nowadays lol)
im in the process of my fist major upgrade to this system, im thinking the single, non sli compatible gpu will be the first purchase i make and ive seen some GTX 760's for a reasonable price, so i think that a SLI setup will be that purchase unless anyone knows different, in which case i would love to hear about it since that is looking like about a $700 investment and i wouldnt want to make that kind of purchase if the money could be better spent on a different component that will give me more of a preformance boots. the system itself is primarily used for gaming.
